About This Program
Louisiana has a very diverse population in any way diversity is defined. Ochsner is the largest quaternary referral hospital in the state with a catchment extending into neighboring states. This allows for unique exposure to various surgical pathologies and severities. Graduate case volume ranges between 1050-1350. The rotation at Chabert hospital in Houma is a faculty-supervised resident-run rural surgery rotation, with the chief resident leading the team.
