Danbury Hospital is a tertiary referral center within the Nuvance Health network. The Connecticut based hospitals in the network, including Danbury Hospital, collectively serve as a branch campus to the University of Vermont. We currently teach medical students from The University of Vermont, Ross University, and The American University of the Caribbean. Our Residency Program in General Surgery is ACGME approved for 4 residents per year, along with 3 non-designated preliminary interns.
