About This Program

The UAMS Surgery residency program provides a variety of training experiences at our primary site UAMS (an academic tertiary referral center), VA Hospital, Children's Hospital, and at several community hospitals throughout the state in both rural and urban settings. This broad based experience allows our graduates to be equally comfortable entering general surgical practice in a small rural community or competing for a specialty surgical fellowships.
