UAB's General Surgery Residency combines high-volume, complex surgical training at a high-volume, level 1 academic center with a strong sense of community. Residents benefit from advanced robotics, global surgery, dedicated research time, and service to critically-ill patients. Birmingham's affordability allows many residents to live near the hospital, enhancing quality of life.
