Overview

UAB's Independent Interventional Radiology (IR) Residency was approved in 2017 and became part of the national rollout on July 1, 2020. This two-year program, available only to diagnostic radiology residency graduates, offers extensive clinical and procedural IR training. UAB is approved to train up to four Independent IR residents at a time, providing comprehensive exposure across a wide range of interventional procedures.
