University of Rochester is home of the biopsychosocial model, and the fellowship integrates this with cutting edge work in CL subspecialties. URMC has a specialized inpatient med-psych unit (Medicine In Psychiatry Service), which one of only a few in the country, for adults with acute medical and psychiatric conditions. The program offers exposure to multiple models of integrated/collaborative care in primary care, Transplant, OBGYN, Neurology, Cardiology, Derm, Oncology, Pain, Burn, and IDD.
