About This Program

Kern Medical's Primary Care Based Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program's goal is to train physicians to evaluate, manage, and treat patients struggling with addiction. The fellow functions in diverse settings- inpatient, outpatient, jail health, opioid treatment program, shelter medicine and street medicine, serving a high-need population. Exposure to a wide variety of addictions and use disorders; from alcohol, substances to behavioral. All ages ranges, including adolescents.
