Our program strives to offer a psychiatric education based in community engagement, social action, and advocacy in a rural/suburban environment. We develop future psychiatrists trained in evidence-based medicine and psychotherapy who value the calling of a physician as an action-based community leader and healer. We support this mission with curriculum designed to uplift community involvement in mental health treatment with barrier-breaking educational activities.
