University of Hawaii Program

Honolulu, HILast Updated: 2/19/2026

About This Program

Our program offers training in a variety of therapeutic approaches. Because of the multiethnic population of Hawai'i, the program is particularly interested in the cultural aspects of human behavior, psychiatric practice, and healthcare disparities. Residents receive a supervised clinical experience, as well as structured teaching. Individual supervision, didactic seminars, rounds and case conferences are the primary techniques used to convey knowledge and clinical skills.
