Overview
For over half a century, the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's public health/preventive medicine residency program has trained physicians in health promotion and disease prevention at the population level. Graduates serve as leaders in public health practice, epidemiologic/clinical research, informatics and health services administration. The program offers two years of field experience at one of the largest health departments in the US combined with Master of Public Health studies.
