The program provides a variety of clinical and academic experiences: performing traditional hospital and clinic subspecialty consultations, providing ongoing care to families at risk for maltreatment in our comprehensive clinic, working directly with child protection workers in rural counties via web-based case reviews, and participating in the division's intensive outpatient program which addresses persistent medical neglect and medical child abuse with a comprehensive family systems approach.
