Overview

The Pediatric Liver Transplantation program began at Riley Hospital for Children in 1988. Since then, 258 pediatric liver transplantations have been performed. The number of liver transplants done at Riley has quadrupled since 2016. The Indiana University Health adult liver transplantation program is one of the largest programs in the country, and it consistently ranks in the top ten centers by volume in the country. It is the only liver transplantation program in the state.
