Overview
The fellowship provides comprehensive training clinical microbiology, research methods and medical education. The clinical microbiology laboratory at Mount Sinai Hospital serves as a core lab for 8 hospitals across the Mount Sinai Health System performing roughly 600 000 tests per year in bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, parasitology, serology and virology. In addition, the fellow will rotate in our state of the art molecular microbiology lab and the NYC public health laboratory.
