About This Program
USF Forensic Pathology training is conducted by faculty at the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Department in Tampa. Hillsborough County has a population base of 1,408,000, encompasses 1072 square miles, and has its seat in the City of Tampa. The County performs approximately 11,590 death investigations per year, over 1200 of these involve autopsies. Due to our coastal location, there are opportunities for a wide variety of cases. We also have an Air Force Base and a shipping port.
