About This Program

Our program is a four-year categorical program offering a broad range of educational opportunities throughout the MedStar Health system and affiliated sites.

Residents complete both Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) rotations each year, gaining experience with a diverse and comprehensive range of cases.

Anatomic Pathology services include general surgical pathology, cytopathology, renal and transplant pathology, neuropathology, dermatopathology, and postmortem examination. Clinical Pathology services include transfusion medicine, microbiology, hematopathology, molecular diagnostics, and general clinical chemistry.
