Overview

The Penn State Hershey Medical Center is the tertiary referral center for Level I trauma (both adult and pediatric) in the south-central region of Pennsylvania. Our trauma population is 96% blunt - and the penetrating trauma is usually high-energy hunting injuries. Three full-time helicopters are positioned throughout the region for the transport of injured patients.
