About This Program
The Orthopaedic Residency Program at UNC provides a balanced education in general orthopaedics with broad subspecialty exposure. We focus on strong basic science, individualized learning, continuity of care, and the 'why' behind clinical decisions. Residents train at both a tertiary care center and community hospital, gaining diverse experience. The program fosters independence, mentorship, and professional growth in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
