We have an unparalleled wetlab experience for our residents. In the first year of residency they are trained in basic ophthalmic surgical techniques with a dedicated instructor every other week. In their second year of residency there is a weekly training in all surgical subspecialties. Surgical experience in the operating room with a dedicated attending begins in the first year and residents complete 250 to 350 cataract operations as primary surgeon prior to graduation.
