Overview

SUNY Upstate Medical University is in Syracuse, NY. The metropolitan area population is approximately 660,000. We are the tertiary referral center for all of Central New York State. Patients come from urban, rural, refugee and indigenous backgrounds. Our high volume of complex OB, GYN surgical and Family Planning exposure prepares graduates for academic or private generalist practice, or for Fellowships. Residents have opportunities for research, advocacy, community engagement and global health.
