High patient volume and variety of pathologies especially stroke in young and stroke in Women. High treatment rates- both TNK and thrombectomy. Excellent relationship with Neuro IR - Large team comprised of 4 Neurosurgery trained, 3 Neurology trained faculty. NCCU run by Department of Neurology with a closed ICU unit- run by ICU/Neuro IR, ICU/Stroke trained physicians. Active in multiple NINDS clinical trials and one of the top enrolling sites.
