Stony Brook is Long Island's premier academic medical center, Suffolk County's only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center. The Cancer Center has a fully staffed clinical trials office which offers assistance with writing investigator initiated trials, with statistician services, and numerous core facilities to enhance labs in the basic sciences. High volume bone marrow transplant unit. Dedicated Palliative Care Team.
