The rheumatology unit offers comprehensive care for arthritis, systemic inflammatory diseases, osteoporosis, and other musculoskeletal problems, including point of care musculoskeletal ultrasound, and is staffed by 8 rheumatologists, 1 nurse practitioner and 2 fellows at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Clinical and basic research is also conducted at the UVM Medical Center and the Robert Larner MD College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
