The overall educational goals are to provide the fellows with basic and advanced biochemistry, physiology and pathophysiology. These provide the basis for understanding gastroenterology, the opportunity to accumulate a critical mass of fundamental information and practical approaches for the diagnosis, management and prevention of Gastroenterology disorders, and to acquire the technical and practical skills that are required by a consultant in gastroenterology.
