About This Program

We prepare internists to serve rural areas like West Texas, with a strong emphasis on POCUS, procedures, bedside clinical skills, empathy, and compassionate care. Residents interested in primary care can pursue additional outpatient experiences. Those considering fellowship receive mentorship and academic support through our Texas A&M affiliation. Research opportunities are available but not required. PGY-1 residents are always supervised, fostering confidence in a supportive learning environme
