University of Louisville School of Medicine Program
About This Program
Residents rotate at 3 different hospitals, which provides diverse experiences. UofL Hospital is a tertiary care center - the only level 1 trauma center and only burn care center in the region; it is also a safety net hospital. Residents care for pre and post solid organ transplant patients at Jewish Hospital, and they also rotate at the VA. Because of this, our residents see a wide range of patients and pathologies. We encourage independent thinking and graduated autonomy.
