The MCG Internal Medicine Residency serves a richly diverse patient population from urban Augusta, rural Georgia, and the broader region, offering early responsibility and broad pathology. As a regional tertiary and safety-net center, residents care for patients with complex medical and social needs across the VA and university hospitals. Program highlights include a Medical Economics curriculum; longitudinal ultrasound training with high fidelity simulation and bedside teaching; a 4+2 schedule
