Founded in 1974, UAB Montgomery IM program provides a balance between community- and university-based training. In the only tertiary care center in Central Alabama, we care for high acuity patients and residents experience the full spectrum of IM. In addition to a strong inpatient experience, we value primary care with a 4+1 schedule to provide a meaningful continuity experience. Preliminary interns receive the same inpatient experience and have elective rotations in their chosen field.
