About This Program

The Medical Genetics training program at UT Southwestern Medical Ctr provides high quality training in both clinical and research genetics. The resident will gain exposure to cytogenetics, molecular genetics, and biochemical genetics in the lab as well as pediatric (general genetics and metabolic genetics), adult, prenatal, and cancer genetics in both outpatient and inpatient settings. There is ample elective time to customize schedules to the trainee's interests and career goals.
