The Mercy Merced FMRP trains resident physicians who will be able to provide comprehensive care and continuity of care to their patients in a caring manner. Training to provide care in rural and under-served environments is a major tenet of our philosophy of residency education. Our faculty operates a private practice separate from the hospital which gives our residents more opportunities to achieve their clinical goals, procedure training, and a broader education in practice management.
