About This Program
EMS at UMMC Jackson offers the exeperience of working in the state's only Level One Trauma Hospital, only Dedicated Pediatric Hospital, and a maternal center of excellence. Our air transport system flies 4 helicopters and soon a fixed wing to move critical patients across the state and region. Partnering with GMR, we ride with the busiest ground EMS system in the largest urban area in the state. We manage specialized ground Children's Transport for those sickest pediatric cases.
