About This Program

The University of Oklahoma Emergency Medicine Residency was created to prepare outstanding emergency physicians to care for any patient, lead with purpose, and shape the future of our specialty. Based at Oklahoma’s flagship academic medical center, our program combines the resources of an established academic institution with the opportunity to help shape the culture and traditions of a new residency. Residents are supported in exploring their interests, developing their strengths, and building careers that are uniquely their own. Grounded in service, integrity, and resilience, our program challenges residents to grow, encourages them to lead, and prepares them to make a meaningful impact in emergency medicine.
