Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine Program
About This Program
We emphasize critical care training with an intensive progression across all three years-18 weeks in PGY-1 (MICU, TCU, PICU), 8 weeks in PGY-2 (MICU, PICU), and 6 weeks in PGY-3 (MICU).WMed offers a distinctive prehospital experience. Residents are active participants in WMED-1, a fully equipped medical support unit providing 24/7 in-field care across Kalamazoo County. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to gain exposure to EMS systems across iconic national parks such as Yellowstone.
