About This Program
In 1970, surgeons Eugene Salvati, MD, and Robert Rubin, MD, founded the first and only Colon and Rectal surgery fellowship training program in the state of New Jersey. Since its establishment, the program has graduated 150 colorectal residents who have successfully proceeded to become presidents of ASCRS, program chairs, department chairs and successful in private practice.
