Overview

Our program is unique in that it serves both urban and rural communities affiliated with a public medical school, providing critical access for underserved populations in Georgia. Experiences gained from training in this setting provide opportunities for residents to become skilled clinicians and clinician-educators, setting the stage for future practice excellence in either community or academic settings. The program places an emphasis on development of self-directed, lifelong learning.
