The IU program's goal is for our graduates to be experts in psychiatry. We introduce diagnostic and pharmacological basics in year one through a diverse variety of patients and network of health care systems. Residents practice in all subspecialty areas in year two. Available tracks (research and clinical educator) and subsequent flexibility in year three and four scheduling facilitate focused training aligned with the desired career trajectory.
