The Department of Surgery at the Yale School of Medicine is dedicated to training leaders in American surgery. Our graduates train across a broad range of clinical settings and complete a high volume of surgical cases. A key part of this success is establishing an academic trajectory early in residency through two years of dedicated, funded Professional Development time.
