UMKC EM at University Health-Truman Medical Center - "Ex traditione, excellentia" (from tradition, excellence).-Founded in 1973 as an early pioneer in emergency medicine training, ours is a county-academic hybrid program that offers unmatched training in trauma, critical care, and pediatrics. Our primary site, UH-TMC, is a high-acuity, urban Level 1 trauma center serving the underserved since for over 100 years; pediatric EM training is at the renowned Children's Mercy Hospital.
